39 Sleepless Hours
Hello everyone!
So TRANSFER WEEK!!!! Alright so drumroll.....I am staying in
Smithfield one more transfer, still keeping the 3 stakes, but I get a
car!! I'm super excited to be able to do what the Lord wants me to and
be here another transfer, there are lots of people to find here still!
My companion will still be Elder Short!
Anyways, so this week was a rough week. I haven't felt super good, but
we were able to get some good stuff going still so it worked out!
Monday we just played ball again, and then that night had an awesome
lesson with George! We answered the rest of the questions and helped
him out more. Tuesday we did service all day, we helped our
investigator Bob move and did some painting and stuff, it was pretty
dang majestic!!
Wednesday we had DM, then went to lunch with the District and it was
super fun! They are good Elders and we have had a good transfer. After
that, we just made visits all day and then that night we had 2 lessons
cancel but then we ended up finding some new people to teach, so it
worked out good! Thursday we did some more service in the morning,
then that afternoon we went and visited some more people it was a good
time! That night, we had another appointment with George and he told
us that his wife couldn't make the baptism on Saturday and asked to do
it Sunday morning so we said yes and then we scrambled that night to
get everything scheduled.
Friday we just tried visiting people and setting up appointments all
day, no luck unfortunately but we stopped by Jason's and he is doing
awesome! Then that night we had George's baptism interview!!!! He
passed it was an awesome experience. Saturday we did some more
service, we helped out Dani's husband with stuff, and he watched all
of Conference and he liked it! The Spirit softens people's hearts!!
Then that night we helped an investigator move from the other Elders
Stake into ours, and so we are going to start teaching her now!
Alright so here is the 39 Sleepless Hours. So woke up Saturday
morning, and then we were supposed to wake up at 5 am Sunday morning
to get to the church to fill the font, but I didn't sleep at all the
entire night so I was like a walking corpse all day Sunday. But
George's baptism was so awesome!!! He was so happy and when he walked
into the room after changing the Spirit just hit me so hard, you could
just feel the glow off of him. After our usual days of meetings, we
had a lesson tonight at the Hymas Fam, we went over part of the Plan
of Salvation and focused more on the Easter part and the Resurrection
of Jesus Christ.
Which brings me to a thought for you all! So this Easter, we are
celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and I heard something
that just made me think about what I'm doing to celebrate that. We
worship a Living Christ, the Christ that was raised from the tomb, not
left in the tomb. He lives, and Because He Lives, we all can too if we
live like Him! My challenge to each of you is to go to Mormon.org and
watch the new Easter video!
I love and miss you all, and hope you have an awesome Easter!
Love,
Elder Faraoni
